As 2025 draws to a close and the holidays approach, we wanted to pause and reflect – and say thank you.
This year has been shaped by moments of connection, growth and genuine change. Across organisations, teams and early-career talent, we’ve seen what happens when people are given space to step away from the everyday and learn through experience.
Below are just a few of the moments that stood out in 2025, offering a glimpse into the impact experiential learning and development can have when it’s done with intention.
Supporting Apprentices at the Start of Their Career Journeys
In 2025, we welcomed another cohort of apprentices for a global organisation, bringing together apprentices entering the workforce for the very first time, all of whom had never met before.
Over the course of the programme, this group of individuals became a supportive, motivated team – embedding company values, building confidence and setting strong foundations for their career journeys.
“They started the week on the minibus not uttering a word to each other – by Friday you’d have thought they’d known each other for years.”
The impact continued well beyond the programme itself.
“We’ve noticed such a difference in our apprentices since working with Call of the Wild – they start working with us as a team, and they’re much more motivated.”
Strengthening Talent Pipelines Through Online Development
We continued working with a UK retailer to support their talent pipeline through our online Behind Enemy Lines programme, demonstrating that experiential learning doesn’t have to be limited to the outdoors to be effective.
Participants reported increased confidence, practical skill development and immediate application in the workplace.
“I’ve learnt a lot over a short period of time and have been provided with a lot of good advice and techniques to improve my skills and development.”
Building Self-Aware, Cohesive Teams Across Organisations
Throughout the year, we welcomed new clients looking to help people at all levels of the business better understand themselves, their colleagues and their teams.
By exploring communication styles, leadership approaches and team dynamics, participants developed tools to work together with greater empathy, clarity and effectiveness.
“Learned different styles of people – I’ll use this to help understand and frame things differently with my team.”
Connecting Leaders Through Shared Experience
One of the most powerful outcomes we saw in 2025 was the impact of bringing peers together – often from across departments or locations – who might never otherwise meet.
Shared learning created connection, reassurance and renewed motivation.
“Being with my peers across the business that I would never have met in person otherwise – and learning they experience the same challenges as my team.”
Creating Space for Leadership Conversations
Alongside our programmes, 2025 saw us continue to create space for open, honest leadership conversations.
Through The Breakfast Serial, we brought leaders together to explore topics such as culture, change, hybrid working and what effective leadership really looks like in practice — offering time to pause, reflect and learn from one another away from the pressures of the day-to-day.
We also shared leadership stories through our Walking the Talk podcast, hearing directly from leaders across sectors about their experiences, challenges and lessons learned. These conversations reinforced a recurring theme of the year: leadership is human, contextual and always evolving.
A Year of Pride and Purpose
These are just some of the multitude of moments we’ve taken great pride in during 2025, offering a glimpse into the experiences we’ve designed to create maximum impact for organisations across the UK.
