A week ago we had an evening that we won’t be forgetting in quite a while. For the past few years we have supported Wales Week in London and this year we hosted a night at the House of Lords with Welsh rugby legend Sir Gareth Edwards CBE. We were joined by business leaders from across the country to celebrate and connect.
As the greatest rugby player of all time, Sir Gareth’s reflections on his career to date were an absolute joy to hear and the atmosphere in the room was incredibly special. Sir Gareth had us all completely absorbed as he regaled us with his stories and insights into the leaders and the teams that helped shape him and his career.
Sir Gareth took the opportunity to introduce his newly launched Sir Gareth Edwards Cancer Charity. The Charity has been set up by Sir Gareth’s daughter-in-law, Eirlys Edwards, to support young people aged 15-35 in Wales who are going through cancer treatment. We encourage you to find out more about the Charity and join us in supporting the incredible work of this really special charity.
We also had the privilege of hearing from the incredibly talented Welsh harpist, Catrin Meek – she’s certainly one to keep an eye (and an ear) out for in the future.
It really was a wonderful opportunity to mark our 25 years in business, celebrate Wales Week in London, and welcome so many friends of the business. To all those who were able to join us – thank you for making this evening such a brilliant event.
